I just got a phone call from Kyler telling me that they won their game!! They were playing Logan today for their first round playoffs. Logan was ranked #1 in their region and we were #4. Needless to say, nobody expected Uintah to win the game. They were tied 0-0 at the end of the game, then 0-0 after double overtime. If neither team has scored after both overtimes, they result to a shoot out which Uintah won 7-6. They were so excited!! I am so proud of Kyler and the accomplishments he has made in high school. He is such a great athlete and still manages to keep his 4.0 in school. He is an amazing kid!! Now they will move on to play Hurricane on Saturday. The only problem is, we have tickets for the Jazz game on Friday night (Ben and I were taking Kyler for his birthday which is Sat.) but now he's not going to be able to go to that. We knew that would be a possibility when we got the tickets but we had to get them before they were sold out. He about died when I told him they were lower bowl too! But I'm so glad they won today, although we will miss him on Friday night. Kaden was more than willing to take his place! He really jumped on that one! Anyways, so after Friday in Salt Lake we'll be heading down to St. George for soccer! Yay!! It will be a fun weekend. I can't wait! GO JAZZ! GO UTES!!!

Monica's baby shower
On Saturday we had my sister Monica's baby shower. It was a fun afternoon, I got to visit with a lot of people that I haven't seen in a while. She is having a baby girl which she is naming Ellie and she's due on June 25th. I am so excited I can hardly stand it! She got a lot of really cute outfits and great things for the baby. She will be having another couple of showers in Moroni so I'm sure she'll be set when Ellie comes.

Happy Birthday Beth!
My best friend Beth turned 25 today! I can't believe we are getting so old! (I'm not too far behind her!) I just wanted to let her know how much I love her and what a great friend she is! We have been friends since 1st grade, and were practically inseparable clear up through high school. She has been there for me through thick and thin. She has two beautiful little girls and is the cutest little mom ever! She lives in Ogden now so I don't get to see her nearly as often as I would like, but we still talk on the phone at least a few times a week, sometimes for hours when both of our husbands are on their night shifts! It's amazing how we are never lacking in something to talk about. I feel so blessed to have her as my friend, and I am so grateful that we've stayed so close over the years. Thanks Beth, for always being there for me! I love ya!

Wow, what a great weekend!
Since I work all week, nothing too exciting ever happens on the weekdays, but my weekends are usually quite eventful! I decided I am really slow about posting about my weekends once they are over though, probably because by the time Monday rolls around I am exhausted! But here is a little recap anyways.
On Friday, Kyler had a soccer game, this time it was at home, which was nice not to have to travel for once. They played Judge again and lost 2-0. Judge has a really good team, darn it!

Monica was out here this week for her spring break (she teaches first grade at Moroni elementary). After the game Monica and I went to dinner with my good friend Miika Gurr and her mom Tammy. It was a blast to see her again, I love that girl! We took this picture after dinner and the wind was blowing like crazy!
On Saturday, my nephew Kaden was baptized. It was a great day, he was so excited and was so cute about it! After his baptism we had a little birthday party for him over at MiKell and Lee's house. Then on Sunday he was confirmed. Lee did a wonderful job on the confirmation, it was such a special day!
One last thing before I go. I just wanted to give a shout out to my sister-in-law Misti. She had her birthday on Sunday, the 13th. I love her to death. She has always been so good to me. She was probably the person who helped me get through Ben's mission the easiest. She was really rooting for me to wait for him the whole way! She called me all the time and always made me feel like part of the family. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and we get along so well! Ben's mom and dad always say we are soul sisters, (mainly because we are both dumb blondes and are really gullable to all his jokes!) But I just wanted her to know how much I love her and how grateful I am to have such an amazing sister-in-law! Happy birthday Mist! I love ya! (P.S. I know this picture is like 5 years old, but its the only one I had on this computer!)

Happy Birthday Kaden!
Today is my nephew Kaden's birthday. He is 8 years old! I cannot believe it! It really seems like just yesterday he was born. I was a junior in high school and was out at a Jazz game with Ben and his family. I was so upset that I wasn't home to be there when my very first nephew was born! I couldn't get home fast enough to see the cute little guy. I love him so much, I don't know what our family would do without him. He has brought so much joy to our lives. He will be getting baptized on Saturday and I am so proud of him! I love you so much Kaden!!

Whirlwind weekend
Well I'm completely exhausted. Ben had to work this weekend so I decided to go out to Monica's. I headed out yesterday after work. She had her Bunco group last night so I hung out with Dewey and watched the Jazz game (which was awesome by the way). My mom and dad also came out and stayed at Monica's. We all drove out to Delta this morning to watch Kyler play soccer. They tied their game at 3-3. It's so much fun to watch them play! I came home tonight so that I can spend the day with Ben tomorrow before he has to go into work at 3:00. It was good to see Monica and Dewey, she is getting such a cute little belly! Her baby is due at the end of June and I am so excited!! It will be so much fun to have another baby around since my only other nephew on the Monsen side turns 8 next week! I can't believe he is already going to be that old, he's grown up so fast! Tomorrow I am looking forward to sleeping in, relaxing with my sweetie, and enjoying general conference!

Twins!
Payge and Preslee West
Maycie, Ben, Brilynn
Proud new mommy
Kyler and his teammates
We had a great time this past weekend. As soon as I got off work on Friday, we headed up to Ogden to pick up Amanda's girls from the hospital and see the twins. They are absolutely adorable! I spelled their names wrong in the last post, they are spelled Payge and Preslee. We spent a little time visiting there, then headed down to Salt Lake to watch Kyler play soccer. They had a game against Judge. It was freezing cold, Ben had to take Brilynn and Maycie to the car a few times to warm them up. Then we took them home and watched them Friday night and Saturday until Amanda and John got home from the hospital with the twins. We had so much fun playing with Brilynn and Maycie that we decided to bring them home with us. They were so excited to go stay at Grandma Batty's! Ben's mom went out to Amanda's on Monday, so she took them back with her then. She gets to stay all week, and Ben's other sister Misti was going there today. I am really wishing I was there, I hope you guys are having fun!
