April Fun

What a silly girl!

She absolutely LOVES blowing bubbles!  She asks for bubbles every day!

2 years old

My baby is 2 years old!  She is the joy of our lives!  We took her up to Dry Fork and took a few pictures to put on her birthday party invitation.  They are not professional in the least bit, but I still thought they turned out really cute.  She is such a little poser.  I wanted to write a few of her words  down that she says right now so I won't forget.

grink=drink
hoggog=hot dog (favorite food)
no-nos=noodles
moy=more
hold you=hold me
how=why (this one cracks me up every time)
mama=grandma
bompa=grandpa
mnt=eat

She's talking so well, and learning new words every day.

The other day I was putting her to bed and I asked her, "Brooklyn, do you know how much I love you?"  She said "How much mommy?"  I stretched my arms out as far as I could and said "This much!"  She looked at me with huge eyes and said "That's a lot!!"

She's such a little sweetheart and says and does the funniest things.  She always keeps us laughing. She loves everyone and every animal she sees.  She especially loves cats and dogs, and always asks to go see the goats by our church.  We love her so much!

Trip to Blanding

My cousin Dillon came home from his mission to Independence, Missouri on April 13th, so we headed down to Blanding to go to his homecoming.  I always love a good excuse to go to Blanding to see all of my mom's family.  Dillon's younger brother Dresden had been waiting 11 long months for him to get home so that Dillon could baptize him.  It was a special weekend, going to the baptism and the homecoming.
Kyler gave a great talk at the baptism.

Me, Brooklyn, Dillon and Ben

Dillon and Kyler have been good buddies their whole lives.  Kyler was excited to have him home!

It turned out to be a really cold, snowy weekend.

On the way out of town we stopped at the cemetery to visit my grandma and grandpas grave.

Kaden's Birthday

Kaden turned 12 on April 10th.  We all went over to their house to celebrate and had a great time!

Easter Weekend/Cason's Baptism

For Easter my mom and went down to Monica's.  We left Friday afternoon when I got off work.  We dyed Easter eggs that night.

Misti and Dustin's son, Cason was baptized on Saturday, April 7th, so Brooklyn and I left Monica's early in the morning and headed down to Richfield for the day.  It was such a beautiful morning, I couldn't help but stop at the Manti temple and get a couple of pictures of Brooklyn.  It was a little chilly though, she was telling me "cold, brrr"

I'm so glad we were able to go to Cason's baptism.  He was so excited to be baptized and was so cute about it all day! After the baptism, Misti and Dustin had a nice meal at their house and Grandma Batty had an Easter egg hunt for all the kids.  Brooklyn had a blast playing with her cousins all afternoon.
Brooklyn and Wakefield are too cute!  I love their pose on their lounge chairs!

Brooklyn and Cason

After spending the day in Richfield with Ben's family, Brookie and I drove back to Moroni.  It was a lot of fun to have Easter morning with Monica and her kids.  They were so excited to see what the Easter Bunny left them.  We had a little egg hunt, and then got all dressed up in our Easter best and went to church.

Brooklyn, Ellie and Kaleb

This is the best picture I could get of Brooklyn in her pretty Easter dress.  Gotta love her and her beautiful facial expressions ;)

Kyler came over after church and spent some time with us before we had to leave.

We came home to a wonderful surprise!  Ben was supposed to be working that night until 11:00, but had gotten off early, so he was there when we got home.  He was so sweet and had hidden eggs all over the house for Brooklyn to find.  She was so excited to see her daddy, and had fun on her 3rd egg hunt of the weekend! Happy Easter!!!
