Ground Breaking News!

We have officially started building our house! Our contractor is Jon Workman and he is great! They started on the first of June. We are so excited for this new adventure and we can't wait to be in our very own house! I will post pictures later of the progress so far, but I left my camera up at my in-laws over the weekend. So far, the hole is dug, the footers are poured, and all the forms are up for the basement walls. They are scheduled to pour the cement for the walls on Thursday. Here are a couple pictures of the house and floor plan, although we are making quite a few little changes to it, but you get the basic idea. It will be over an unfinished basement so there will be plenty of room for us down the road.

That is so awesome. You want to know what is funny, our house is almost identical to that...and ours is over a basement too, but we finished it already. It has been a really nice layout. Good luck with it all!

I really like that floor plan! Just don't forget all the little things that are important. Extra insulation, extra outlets, etc. Kirk and I wish we would have covered our deck and added a 3 car garage. Good luck!
