Kyler's endowments

Kyler did his endowments on Saturday at the Vernal Temple. I'm so glad we were able to go and support him. I also had the opportunity to go do a session with him again tonight. I love going to the temple, and I love the peace that I feel there. I was sitting there tonight wondering why we put off going as much as we can. Why is it so hard to get there? Why don't I take advantage of having a temple literally 2 blocks from my house? The feeling I get when I'm there, just makes all my worldly problems seem so small. It puts things into perspective for me and refreshes my mind and spirit. It really makes me feel like I can take on anything. It gives me that pick-me-up that I need and I know everything will be all right. I love it, and it was just what I needed today. We are so proud of Kyler and happy for him. We know he's making the right decisions in his life and that he's doing what the Lord wants him to do. Congrats again Ky, we love you!

Golf

Today after I got off work, we decided to get our brothers Kyler and Dale and go do a little golfing. We had a lot of fun. It was a beautiful fall day and I didn't want to waste it sitting inside. We'll be able to do plenty of that in the winter (which is coming up way too fast by the way!) Golf has been a hobby that Ben picked up a couple years ago, and he is obsessed with it to say the least. He goes any time he gets the chance. I'm glad he has found something he loves so much, but holy cow! He has already gone through two punch passes this year, and was begging me to buy a third. For Christmas last year he bought me a nice set of clubs, so I like to go with him when I get the chance. It's fun for me even though I'm not that great. If only I practiced as much as him, I might be a lot better! Kyler smoked us all today though!! He had a great game!

New Niece!

Congratulations to Dale and Shannon on their brand new little baby girl, Zuri. She was born yesterday, September 23rd. She is beautiful!! We are so excited to have this special little addition to our family!

Ellie's Blessing

Ellie was blessed on Sunday the 14th. She looked adorable and Dwain did a great job on the blessing! I have kind of a funny story though. Ever since we were young, people have always thought that Monica and I were twins. We're only a year apart in age, so I guess I can see how people might get confused. It's funny because I play the organ in my ward and every time she's out visiting she says she has people come up to her and tell her "good job on the organ today." She gets to where she just tells them "thank you" and doesn't try to correct them. I think its funny. On Sunday I had two different people from her ward come up to me at church and tell me "congratulations on that cute baby of yours." I don't think we look that much alike. I mean, you can tell we're sisters, but to not know which one they're talking to? Crazy!

Birthday Party

My boss and his wife throw the best birthday parties! We went over for a fun night with their family. Marianne always cooks a fantastic dinner, and their kids are so fun to be around. Ben and I always have a blast when we hang out with them. The birthday girls!

Ben is known to like the frosting on the birthday cakes. The girls said to me, "Lets put all of the flowers on Ben's piece." They were giggling so hard and took Ben's piece over to him with about 4 inches of frosting on it. They are so funny!I love these girls!!
