Ok, so I have spent the last 3 hours catching my blog up! It's now almost 1:00 in the morning and I hope I can function at work tomorrow. I've put on all the things that have gone on in the past 2 months since I blogged last. If you're interested to see what we've been up to, just scroll down, the events are in order with the oldest towards the bottom. We have been very busy, but life is great.
Just a few updates:
Ben is finally on his last semester of school. Hooray!! After this semester is over, he will just need to take a couple of tests to get his certification, and he'll be done completely. I know we're both thrilled to see the light at the end of the tunnel! It will be so nice for him to be finished!
We were able to talk to Kyler on Mother's day. It was so much fun to talk to him, and he sounds great. He's serving up in Newfoundland right now and loves it. He has been out almost 7 months!
Another exciting note: We are closing on our construction loan tomorrow, and will probably be breaking ground on our house sometime this week! Everything has run really smoothly so far, and we're crossing our fingers that things continue to do so. We are so excited! It will be so nice to finally have a place to call our own!
That's about all that's been going on with us, and I am vowing to be better at updating my blog! I don't want to have to play catch up like this again!

My 26th birthday!
My birthday was on the 11th and I turned 26! Yikes, I'm getting old! I had a really good birthday. We had my family over on Monday, and Ben's family over on Tuesday. I'm so grateful for my families and the love and support they always give me. Thanks for coming everyone, and thanks for all the phone calls and emails I got also! My friends and family are awesome!!
I came home from work and Ben had our whole living room decorated. It was so cute. I made fun of him for buying these nerdy birthday hats, but they actually turned out to be a big hit!
Brilynn and Maycie
After the Jazz game we went and stayed at Amanda's house. They are so sweet to let us pop in on them all the time. We got to play with Brilynn and Maycie Sunday morning before we headed home. They are so much fun, we love them so much!

Jazz game!
We went to the Jazz playoff game 4 against the Lakers with our friends Miika and Brandon. We were all so excited to go and we had a lot of fun despite them losing the game. It was pretty sad, and I was so disgusted by all the Laker fans at the game. There were Laker fans on the whole row behind us and in front of us. They were really annoying and rude. I'm sad that the season is over already, but I'm looking forward to next year!
Before the game, Ben and I wandered down towards the bottom of the arena to watch some of the players warm up. Kyle Korver was the only one out there the entire time we were down there, so I got a million pictures of him. That's ok, he's cute! I was waiting and waiting for D-Will to come out, but he never did before we had to go back up to our seats. Ben's highlight of the night was hanging out with the Jazz dancers! I love this picture.
Camping with the Gurr's
Our good friends the Gurr's invited us to go camping with them a few weekends ago. Ben had plans to go fishing with his dad on Saturday morning, so we just went out Friday night, then came home, then went back up on Saturday afternoon after Ben was finished fishing. The boys all played paintball all afternoon, and we all had a fun weekend.
Our cute neice and nephews
Since Ben's parents were heading down to Misti's for the baby blessing the next weekend, we brought Cason back to Vernal with us. He spent all week going back and forth from our house, to Grandma Batty's, Shannon's, and Dustin's sister and parent's houses. We had so much fun with him the days and nights we had him. Monica was out for Easter weekend, so I took Cason over to my mom's to dye Easter eggs with everyone.
Trip to Kanab!
Misti and Dustin blessed their baby Brandt on Easter Sunday. Ben had to work that day, so we decided to go down and visit them the week before that. We had so much fun visiting them. We finally got to see Brandt who is such a cutie, and Cason is always so fun and entertaining. We went to the park, went on a tour of their new house (which they are moved into now, but weren't yet at the time), and dyed Easter eggs. Ben even got up Saturday morning and went golfing. We had a really good time and were so sad when it was time to leave.
Happy birthday Payge & Preslee!
Ben's sister Amanda's baby girls turned 1 on March 26th. They came out to Vernal to celebrate their birthday, and we had a little party. It was fun to get together with everyone!

Draper Temple open house
I had Friday off of work, so Thursday night, mom and I drove out to Monica's to stay the weekend. On Friday we got up early and drove to Draper to go the the temple open house. We had such a great time, the temple was beautiful! I am so glad we got the opportunity to go. After the open house we went to lunch and went shopping, then went back to Moroni and spent the rest of the weekend with Monica, Dewey and Ellie.
